My 7 Home Remedies for Sunburn and Peeling Skin
In warm areas, people with light complexion are more prone to sunburn which may cause itching, burns, and sometimes peeling of the skin. It occurs after 15 minutes of exposure to UV lights, and between 4-40 hours later the symptoms will appear.
Being a result of direct contact of the skin with sun rays, you either avoid sun exposure, or wear a sun block with spf of at least 15 to get 150 minutes of protection (10x15),i.e. the higher the SPF value, the longer the time of protection.
How to Reduce Sunburn or Prevent it
You will need 3-4 peeled and mashed ripe apricots and 1 TBS Aloe gel, mix them and rub your face and leave for 12-15 minutes, then wash with luke water and splash with cold water. If you do not have Aloe gel you can use apricots alone. You can add the contents of 1 capsule of vitamin E, and few drops of Cinnamon oil and Lavender oil.
Remedies for Sunburn
Yogurt and Honey

Yogurt and honey both contain enzymes, acids, minerals, trace elements that can help soothe the sunburn. It is aplied like a cream and although it is a bit sticky, yet
it will relieve it in minutes.
Chamomile, Lavender and Yogurt
Mix a few drops of Chamomile oil, Lavender oil to 1 TBS of yogurt and apply to the affected aream
The ingredients altogether will cool the skin down and help soothe the skin through minimizing the irritation and redness. You may wash with cold water when your pain is relieved. If the oils are outside your reach, you can just use yogurt alone.
Tea tree and Aloe vera oils
Cucumber and Aloe vera Gel
Blend 1 peeled cucumber with 2 TBS Aloe vera gel and apply the resultant paste on the sunburn area. You will feel its cooling effect, and within a few minutes all the annoying effects are gone.
Chamomile and Black Tea
Make a big pot of black tea, chamomile tea, or both, of course you will not sweeten it. Let the tea completely cool down and then immerse a cotton piece or a soft cloth in tea, and wet the affected area evenly. Tannins will stop the progress of damage, other constituents will reduce inflammation.
Banana Peel and Aloe vera gel
Rub 1 TSP of Aloe Vera gel on the inside face of a yellow (neither green nor ripe) and rub the affected area with them. You can add 1 drop of Chamomile oil.
An alternative way is to mix them all in the blender and apply the resultant paste on the affected area.
Baking Soda Water Bath
Use warm water to take a bath, add 2 cups of regular baking soda to the water bath. Baking soda will stop any possible infection. If combined with any of the described remedies, it will bring relief rapidly.
Cold Water
Soak a cloth in cold water and apply on the affected area to use it as a cold compress. It is important that you drink water to compensate for the fluid loss caused by the increased body temperature, this will speed up the recovery of the skin.
